Join Unadilla Community Farm for the first Community Volunteer Day of the 2024 season!
On May 11, we will wake the beds up for spring by weeding and mulching dynamic accumulator plants. Dynamic accumulators are seen as a promising closed-loop nutrient management solution that converts farm waste into valuable nutrient sources, while reducing the need for purchased fertilizers and amendments. In this Community Volunteer Day, participants will learn about Unadilla Community Farm’s Northeast SARE funded 2-year study on dynamic accumulators, while performing springtime maintenance on beds of several dynamic accumulator species.
We can host up to 20 people at a time, so please RSVP using this form to reserve your spot. This event is kid-friendly. No pets please. We are a smoke-free, substance-free space. Because we are a food-producing business, if you are feeling unwell, have a fever, cough, runny nose, or other symptoms, please do not come to the farm.
Rain Plan: In the event of heavy rain, we will postpone to the following weekend. We will send out an email reminder the day before to confirm the event plan.
