Community Volunteer Day: Waking Up The Food Forest -  Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 2pm-4pm

Come help us wake the Food Forest up for spring by performing springtime maintenance on Food Forest beds! Volunteers will learn about our regenerative practices, off-grid infrastructure, and community education programs.

Community Volunteer Day: Herb Propogation-  Saturday, June 13th, 2026 at 10am-12pm

Come help us propagate herbs and learn how to root softwood cuttings of culinary and medicinal herbs!. We will cover how to make propagation soil mix, set up a propagation station, and care for cuttings while they root. Each person gets to take home 2 potted cuttings of their choice!

Community Volunteer Day: Garlic Harvesting-  Saturday, July 18th, 2026 at 9am-12pm

Come help us harvest bulbs of hardneck garlic for curing to donate to food pantries! Each participant took home half a dozen fresh garlic bulbs, to cure at home or eat fresh!

Community Volunteer Day: Building Living Soil- Saturday, August 29th, 2026 at 10am - 12pm

Come help us apply regenerative, beginner-friendly strategies for maintaining an 18.5% Organic Carbon concentration in our soil! Learn how without tilling, synthetic pesticides, petroleum-based amendments or gasoline powered machinery.

Community Volunteer Day: Garlic Planting-  Saturday, September 12th, 2026 at 2pm-4pm

Come help us prepare the bulbs and soil for planting & how to build and use a dibbler wheel! Unadilla Community Farm grows and donates about 4,500 bulbs per season to regional food pantries!

Community Volunteer Day: Garlic Cleaning-  Saturday, September 26th, 2026 at 2pm-4pm

Come help us prepare garlic bulbs for donation to food pantries! This is a family-friendly activity suitable for all ages and abilities because it is a seated volunteer day. Participants take turns helping on 3 different stations: snipping off garlic stems, trimming roots, and peeling off the outer layer of garlic skin. Each participant takes home a quart of garlic!
